Life is more mystery than misery

(or at least, that's what I like to think)

This book will save your live

No, but really, it could.

Imagine you were a busy businessmen, working from home, (well, not really working from home because you’ve work so hard all your life selling stock options that you don’t need to worry about the money anymore, so you do like you are working but you are really not), and instead you eat only the food that a nutritionist prepares for you, exercise in a machine and spend the day at home alone, surrounded by technology and eventually a maid. And you don’t know it yet, but it’s like you are dead.  You don’t notice until a hard pain in the chest makes it so unbearable that you have to call an ambulance, being you the one person who wouldn’t call an ambulance if it wasn’t a “dead serious” situation.  So they come home and they take you to the hospital. And then your life begins to change.

That is what happens to Richard Novak, who after this incident, and without even knowing It, opens his mind and engages in a funny, bold, bittersweet adventure of living his life in Los Angeles, a surreal and yet magic city full of amazing characters and events that will engage a smiling reader who cannot help but think about his own life while following the story.

A. M. Homes has created a funny, intelligent and revealing novel about change and transformation, which challenges the topical themes about this issue while providing the reader with and amusing and entertaining narrative adventure.
